DARKROOM SKATEBOARDS THE BRAND

Darkroom Skateboards is a completely new project created by people who have been working behind the scenes for years for other well-known and established brands in the skateboarding industry.
The Darkroom brand was created and designed by none other than the genius Don Pendleton. Don has dominated the world of skateboarding design behind the scenes, creating graphics for historic brands such as Alien Workshop.

Don Pendleton was born in Ravenswood, West Virginia, USA, where he began mixing his art with skateboarding from an early age. In 1998, he started working full time for Alien Workshop, where he designed practically everything between 1998 and 2005.

After years of hard work with Alien W., the designer moved to Element Skateboards and became their designer from 2005 to 2009.
Subsequently, the adventure with Element also came to an end and Don Pendleton devoted himself for a period to drawing and gathering inspiration for the future.

Everyone wanted the American artist, who never stopped coming up with cutting-edge ideas and unique designs. Don's graphics are highly sought after and very popular on the internet, where they are created using a unique copyright technique.

DARKROOM SKATEBOARD THE BIRTH

After working for the big names in world skateboarding, Don founded his own brand. Thus, Darkroom Skateboards was born with two friends, Mike Sinclair and Kevin Furtado.
The official year of Darkroom's birth is 2018, but the launch of the brand had already been attempted years earlier. Both in 2006 and 2012, there had been attempts at production.

However, it was only in 2018 that the project became a solid and definitive reality, allowing Don to focus exclusively on creating his works for skateboards and clothing.

The artist relies on his partners for the technical and distribution aspects.
A pure artist, Don Pendleton prefers to concentrate solely on design.

Today, the Darkroom brand produces skateboard decks and clothing, all designed by Don Pendleton.

COLLABORATIONS WITH BIG BRANDS

First and foremost is the collaboration with Primitive Skateboards, where Don produced a legendary series of boards for Paul Rodriguez.

Dan continues to collaborate with major brands, creating collections for Volcom, Vans, Nike, DC Shoes, The Berrics, Zero, Penny Skateboards, Stereo Skateboards, Heroin Skateboards, Landscape Skateboards, Designarium Skateboards, DVS Footwear, and Etnies Footwear.

Darkroom skateboards are of very high quality, but even more important is the excellent Canadian maple used to build them. Darkroom always puts skaters and performance first. Excellent concaves and new school shapes make Darkroom a masterpiece.
