Clearly, the brand is 100% skateboarding, and the Zoo York team has always been at the center of the city's scene. Iconic skaters such as Harold Hunter (RIP), Keith Hufnagel (RIP), Karl Watson, Schott Johnson, Jeff Pang, Vinnie Ponte, and Danny Supa were among the first riders to launch the brand worldwide with their skateboarding.

Historic videos such as “Mix Tape,” “Peepthis,” and “Heads” contributed to the brand's worldwide launch. Subsequently, with the arrival of the new millennium, the brand found even more glory by continuously producing new boards and new clothing that were increasingly in demand around the world.

The brand was sold to the Ecko group in the 2000s. From then on, the brand continued to evolve but, in the last decade, many felt that it had lost some of the original flavor with which it was born. In recent years, Zoo York has returned to its former glory with a team of top skaters and a management team capable of restoring the brand to its former glory.

The Zoo York brand has deep roots and was born from the purest underground scene in New York. Zoo York is the skateboarding brand par excellence. The brand was born at the most important moment in the history of skateboarding. The brand was founded in 1993 by Eli Gesner and Rodney Smith. It was born out of the subcultures of the Big Apple and is inspired by New York artists, particularly the first skate crews who inspired the founders from day one.

Zoo York represents East Coast skateboarding in its purest and most original form. Even today, the brand maintains a line that stays close to the streets without straying too far into the mainstream, which is now becoming very stifling and unoriginal. On the contrary, Zoo York is the true face of street skateboarding in New York.
