ED TEMPLETON AND THE BEGINNING OF THE LEGENDARY BRAND

Before founding the Toy Machine brand Ed templeton had founded another brand that surely skaters over 40 remember well, the brand was founded with legend Mike Vallely and was called "TV".

The brand didn't break through and didn't gain popularity because of some rifts between the two founders,Templeton and Vallely didn't get along it seems because of financial issues and after a short time they parted ways and each went his own way.

Templeton decided to go it alone and start a new brand called Toy Machine, the names originally chosen for the brand were Toy Skateboards and Machine skateboards, but friend and skateboard pro Ethan Fowler suggested one day to combine the two names and that's how "Toy Machine skateboards" was born.

It was very successful thanks mainly to its founder Ed Templeton who personally designed all the graphics of the brand. It is due to him the planetary success it has had.

The various puppets Templeton drew have remained in the minds of skateboarders for generations and, even today his designs are still relevant and recognized by the skateboard community around the world.

THE 90S AND "WELCOME TO HELL" TOY MACHINE

In the early days the team was represented by the strongest skaters at the time in California such as Chad Muska, Jamie thomas, Brian Anderson, and Ed templeton and the team made one of the history-making videos called "Welcome to hell."

At that time Chad Muska had some problems with the whole team and the Toy Machine. For some reason the premiere of the video release was moved. Muska who was a hothead at the time, was kicked off the team and only years later his part was introduced in the video.

The video represented the essence of the brand and its riders. The video introduced a new and super powerful style of skateboarding in those years.

Tricks down handrails to the limit, steps and gaps. The whole video is a succession of big tricks that still bleach .
