ADIDAS CAMPUS A MODEL TURNED LEGEND

Adidas campus is a legendary model that has captivated generations of people with its unique charm and style.

It was the early 1990s when the progression of skateboarding had a global epicenter named Justin Herman Plaza. Known as Embarcadero or simply EMB, this San Francisco spot was frequented by the top California street skaters of the time.

This skateboarding mecca received skateboarding visitors from all over the world who were discouraged from frequenting the spot and labeled as t-dogs by locals who wanted to preserve their turf.
This was where new trends were being born that included in addition to technique on the board, all the details that made up a skater's style in terms of clothing and, of course, skate shoes like the Adidas campus.

It was just between 91 and 93 that slowly alongside the conventional skate shoe brands we see the big sporting goods companies come alongside and among them Puma and adidas.

After 93 we increasingly see an entry of adidas among the most fashionable footwear among underground skaters. Adidas Superstar always meets the thumbs up of skaters. Whether for the protection and durability of its sturdy toe, or for its easily identifiable style, this adidas footwear meets with acclaim but skaters' search slowly takes them elsewhere.

Probably driven by a search based on the sensitivity of the sole, then the ability to give a better board feeling, two other models meet the needs of street skateboarding: adidas Gazelle and adidas Campus.

ADIDAS CAMPUS WOMEN'S AND MEN'S

Despite the fact that we are not yet talking about the Campus ADV Skate, the model in question becomes an important reference for skate culture. One over all Chico Brenes, gives prominence to this adidas model with a memorable video part in 1995 in "Las nueves vidas de Paco" making them a skate model despite ideally being born for basketball.

While at first glance its appearance is similar to the original, in reality the changes are structural: reinforced suede was used at the points of greatest wear. The tongue has undergone slight changes and is now non-slip, thus implementing the level of the fit, making it more sensitive.

The most significant improvement is in the sole , whose Bounce cushioning in addition to making it more comfortable gives optimal protection in impacts.
