VOLCOM STONE AND THE BIRTH OF THE LEGENDARY BRAND

Volcom stone is a brand unlike any other, since its inception it has created around it an exclusive circle of skaters, surfers and snowboarders of extraordinary skill. The brand was created and founded in California in 1991 by Richard “wooly” Woolcott and Tucker “T-dawg” Hall.

These two longtime friends were both action sports enthusiasts and one day they went on a snowboarding trip together. On that trip the two friends came up with and created one of the most beautiful logos streetwear has ever had.

The trip included the two founders of the Volcom brand, Nathan Fletcher and Mark Gabriel.

The four friends were having the time of their lives because for days the snow would not stop falling and Richard on those days called his old job and warned that he would not be returning.
