Later in the late 1980s young Tom Penny, Rune Glifberg, Andy Scott and Geoff Rowley are brought into the British company.

After its birth, the Deathbox brand is famous throughout Europe, the team touring the length and breadth of the continent bringing high-level skating with Tom Penny and the rest of the team.

Once they all arrived in America the pros were all English, the team received a lot of assistance from local skaters like Ed Templeton who was the boss of the newly formed Toy Machine.

THE BIRTH OF FLIP SKATEBOARDS IN AMERICA

There Flip Skateboards was born the old name Deathbox was permanently dropped and from there on the British-born Brand began its climb to success in America and around the world.

By 1995 the team began to make its first steps and establish solid connections with American skateboarders because in the beginning money was tight and still the team did not have high expectations. The important thing was to go skate every day fulfilling their wishes and dreams, which undoubtedly were absolutely coming true.
