The Union Source Pro Snowboard Binding 2026 is one of the most advanced freeride bindings ever developed by Union. Designed within the Union Lab line for expert riders and big mountain enthusiasts, it combines premium materials, extremely low weight and some of the most direct energy transfer ever achieved by the brand.
At the heart of the binding is the new Forged Carbon DCS Baseplate construction, developed to reduce the overall height of the base and bring the rider closer to the board. This design improves sensitivity, precision and response speed, allowing an immediate connection between snowboard and binding. The structure is completed by the Duraflex CB Halo frame, the lightest ever produced by Union, built with carbon-reinforced nylon to ensure the perfect balance of lightness, strength and long-term durability.
The S18 Source Pro highback uses Duraflex CB Nylon to provide precise support and immediate edge-to-edge control, while being approximately 15% lighter than traditional Duraflex constructions. This combination makes the Source Pro particularly effective on technical terrain, steep lines and in conditions where precision and stability make the difference.
Comfort is provided by the Hybrid 2.0 straps, designed with a V-Cut structure that naturally follows the flex of the boot while eliminating unwanted pressure points. The front strap adapts perfectly to different boot shapes, ensuring a secure and even closure. Everything is completed by the lightweight and durable 3D aluminium heelcup, covered by the renowned Union lifetime warranty.
Among the most interesting innovations is also the use of Duraflex Blue material, developed in collaboration with Envalior. This innovative nylon contains up to 90% sustainable raw materials from bio-based sources, recycled materials and low-impact production processes, without compromising the performance required from a high-end binding.
